About Alexis D.

As a dedicated and highly motivated Behavior Specialist, I have a background in clinical support, research and children’s behavior management. I am seeking an opportunity to transform patients’ and families’ lives through effective treatment and support. I have experience collaborating with peers and supervisors in meetings and training sessions to identify effective strategies and best practices for patient interventions. While pursuing my undergraduate degree, I was accepted into a research project as a clinician at the prestigious Koegel Autism Center, where I utilized Pivotal Response Treatment techniques to significantly improve the language and social skills of toddlers with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I also volunteered in a project that helped children and young adults with special needs develop social skills by applying Applied Behavior Analysis techniques and peer-mediated strategies. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychological & Brain Sciences with a Minor in Applied Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and I am fluent in English and conversational Spanish.I look forward to meeting you!
