Began as a part-time intern/“runner” in college for a well-known solo practitioner at 19 years old following my sophomore year of college. My responsibilities initially involved mostly washing coffee cups and running mail, but gradually increased in complexity until I was reassigned as a legal assistant, which included tasks such as drafting correspondence and pleadings, e-Filing, communicating with clients, and providing status updates and case recommendation. I also simultaneously maintained a 4.0 GPA for my senior year of college, earning President’s List recognition while accomplishing these career elevations and becoming acquainted with the legal profession at a young age.
