I am a junior on the Texas A&M University Division I Equestrian team. In addition to excelling in academics, I maintain a leadership role on the team as well as attending meetings, practices, workouts, travel meets, and community service events.

Organized and taught groups of 12 campers per session focusing on the skills necessary to compete in equestrian at the collegiate level. Learned and practiced valuable skills in problem solving, management, and task delegation while overseeing campers ages 11-17.

I joined the AmplifyU team, a business skills workshop created specifically for Texas A&M student-athletes, as a student intern. I presented to different sports teams informing them of the benefits of the program. I also gave a presentation about the program to the Texas A&M athletics department staff, consisting of 200+ people. I advocated for the program at a student-athlete recruitment mixer and shared information with student-athletes utilizing the tabling method. My goal in this position was to increase student-athlete participation within the program as well as to give a student-athlete perspective when planning the program. After one semester I was able to achieve both of these goals. I improved my presentation and public speaking skills, as well as practiced communicating with students, professors, coaches, and business owners. This allowed me to expand me professional network as well.
