I am a R&D SW Engineer, working in embedded firmware and hard real-time processing, very close to HW, with algorithms & signal processing expertise. I became a Digital Signal Processors specialist (architecture and programing) with baseband / PHY receiver expertise + excellent skills to debug system-wide issues.Skills set :- Software languages : C / C++ / Assembly for fixed-point DSP & intrinsics. VHDL knowledge.- SW Engineering for hard real-time systems, DSP firmware (Motorola : baseband modem / Staubli : motor control) : design, V-model ( C / C++ / ASM, debug), low-level programming, releases.- Design & implement digital signal processing algorithms for fixed-point DSP under highly-constraint environment : (execution cycle time / memory size / signal quality).- Optimizations for real-time systems, for both sample-by-sample processing or block processing.- Excellent knowledge of DSP processors and good knowledge of embedded processors used in industry such as ASIC / ARM / SoC.- Work very close to HW, to get most of HW architecture / modules.- Low level HW drivers for DMA, Bus multiplexing, Bootloader, Flash tools, dataloggers- Documentations writing (Requirement, Design, User Guides).- Use of Matlab and Octave to design algorithm and test-vectors generation, mastering MEX functions.- Good knowledge in digital signal processing theory, focused on implementations as well academic - Debug tools: (trace32, JTAG), Oscilloscope.- Mastering embedded real time tools and IDE.- Mastering Unix environment (solaris, cygwin, gnu, gcc, gdb, binutils...)- Version control : mercurial, GIT, clearcase- Both scientist and technical focus on problem solving- Experienced in several industrial sectors : semi-conductors (Infineon), Defense (Thales), Telecom (Motorola) and motor control for robotics (Staubli).
