In my role, I am responsible for maintaining and managing work-in-progress (WIP) inventory as well as finished good inventory. Another part of my role is scheduling our assets and working cross functionally with the operations team in doing so. Data Management is part of my role as well. In this I am responsible for item and bill of material (BOM) creation and maintenance.

As a supply chain management intern, my role varies between a few different departments within the supply chain. In regards to planning, I am responsible for working with customers weekly to better determine their needs and plan inventory. I also worked with the scheduling team to determine how we would fit increased demand / new orders. From a procurement aspect, I assisted in chemical and packaging buying and placed POs accordingly. In relation to transportation, I am responsible for planning loads out of our international distribution center, as well as assisting with submitting/filing damage claims. Additionally, I have created a projected stockout report, a dashboard summarizing key pieces of data and metrics, and a representation of our service and inventory metrics. I utilized Power BI and Excel to make these reports.

Filled/shipped customer orders, ensured deadlines were met and all items were shipped at the end of the day, and helped in other departments of the store when necessary.
