Managerial experience serving as the legal guardian for 10 Ugandan children for an 11 month tour across the United States. Held responsible for health decisions, transportation, and general oversight for the tour. Held weekly staff meetings and composed reports for corporate office. Maintained contact with the Ugandan office overseas about children’s behavior, health, and overall well-being. Contacted churches, museums, and other venues throughout the United States to coordinate 130 bookings and 178 performances including discussing details on upcoming arrival. Orientated host families and venue liaisons regarding fine details and information about our stay including overnight accommodations to ensure a successful experience for the choir, church, and host families. Adjusted performance orders based on requests of pastors and venues. Advocated for child sponsorship and promoted the importance of education in developing countries in front of audiences of up to approx 400 people. Educated potential sponsors on specifics and financials of the child sponsorship process. Maintained inventory of 950 unsponsored children from 7 different countries. Raised over 800 new sponsors for children waiting in Haiti, India, Kenya, Peru, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Uganda to receive an education. The choir held residency at 119 churches, performed at 11 public events to maintain cultural immigration status, and secured child sponsorships for at risk children around the world. Raised over $200,000 for Childcare Worldwide. Served as one of three drivers who transported the choir across the United States in a 15 passenger handicap accessible bus. Filled in as needed in the areas of teaching, administration, and music. Served as the primary counselor to help children adjust to the United States and to maintain their emotional and physical well-being and acclimation to the culture while performing 3-7 times per week.

Constructed and aided in lesson planning, leading small groups, and coordinating learning activities. • Maintained ministry work day schedule for all departments including social work, childcare program, and preschool classes.• Organized and attended weekly home visits for 40 staff members, 70 artisans, and 60 children in the childcare program throughout the Jinja, Uganda area.• Demonstrated cultural competency by quickly assimilating to culture and language differences to be successful in the position.

Administered school counseling services to 50 students and led over three counseling sessions each week with supervision on topics dealing with depression, puberty, social development, and anxiety.Directed a social skills group for approximately 20 6th, 7th, and 8th graders focusing on key social skills needed for successful relationships such as conversation starters, peer relationships, and addressing persons in authority. Conducted home visits as needed for families of middle school and high school students and assessed current needs of the family. Worked with families and educational system to resolve issues dealing with divorce and separation, parental custody issues, peer pressure, and adolescent development.
