The main purpose of the position is to research on the thesis topic of Droplet Evaporation of Alcohol - Biodiesel Blends under the supervision of Dr. William Hallett. Responsibilities include:• Perform droplet evaporation experiments with alcohol-biodiesel blends.• Simulate droplet evaporation of alcohol-biodiesel blends using a continuous thermodynamics numerical model in Fortran.• Research literature work on alcohol-biodiesel blends and droplet evaporation.• Investigate vapour liquid equilibria effects on droplet evaporation.

The main purpose of the position is to support the research projects at the Solar Energy Systems Laboratory (SESL) and the Centre for Advanced Building Envelope Research (CABER) under the supervision of Dr. Cynthia Cruickshank. Responsibilities include:- Updated and remodeled the Guarded Hot Plate (GHP) apparatus.- Gained experience with testing instrumentation and Data Acquisition (DAQ) equipment.- Produced LABVIEW programs used to control and acquire data from laboratory tests.- Worked with weather station data acquisition and monitoring.

The main purpose of the position is to support the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) team within the Project Management Office for the Light Armoured Vehicle III Upgrade (PMO LAVUP) project.Responsibilities:- Documentation review of documents sent and received by the Project Management Office such as Engineering Change Proposals, Contract Change Proposals, and Test Reports- Provide problem analysis towards problems encountered within the Light Armoured Vehicle III Upgrade (LAVUP) project- Updating and formatting a spares tracker with new information on spares being procured within the projectExperience With:- Canadian Government Cataloguing System (CGCS)- Records Documents and Information Management System (RDIMS)- Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS)Strengths Demonstrated in Position:- Demonstrated technical knowledge with relation to practical outputs- Illustrated knowledge of the implications of an individual task across a complex program- Proven responsible to completing and managing tasks

The main purpose of the position is to support a Researcher’s work on Lubricity of Diesel Fuels test method.Responsibilities:· Operating the high-frequency reciprocating rig (HFRR) for diesel fuel lubricity testing· Produced graphs characterizing HFRR results with different diesel fuel additives· Preparing liquid fuel mixtures for experiments· Assisting with set-up and maintenance of equipment used in experiments performed within the facilityStrengths Demonstrated in Position:· Demonstrated attention to detail· Illustrated dependability in a lab environment· Demonstrated independent and motivated work ethic

The main purpose of the position is to support a Researcher’s work on Lubricity of Diesel Fuels test method.Responsibilities:· Operating the high-frequency reciprocating rig (HFRR) for diesel fuel lubricity testing· Collaborating on an improved method for lubricity testing of diesel fuels· Preparing liquid fuel mixtures for experiments· Assisting with data collection for experiments performed within the facilityStrengths Demonstrated in Position:· Produced quality documentation of testing results· Demonstrated attention to detail· Illustrated dependability in a lab environment

The main purpose of the position is to support a Professor’s work on Liquid Droplet Evaporation. Responsibilities:· Preparing liquid fuel mixtures for experiments· Performing standard droplet evaporation tests on these samples· Carrying out size measurements on droplet images· Making repairs or modifications to lab equipment as needed, such as camera setup, thermocouple, quartz fibre, etc. Strengths Demonstrated in Position:· Strong problem solving and analytical skills· Highly organized and methodical· Good practical skills
