My name is Alexis Tinker, and I am a Wildlife and Fisheries Management student with a special interest in environmental conservation. My passion for this field was ignited by my coursework at the University of Tennessee and my employment with Knox County Parks and Recreation. At Knox County, I have been entrusted with establishing their wildlife exposure program, connecting the community with nature through our parks' resources. By organizing summer camps, leading educational hikes, and advocating for better conservation practices, I am actively contributing to achieving this goal. In 2024, I was honored as Parks and Recreation's Employee of the Quarter in recognition of my dedication to the department and my impactful work.
