I have spent the past 8 years working full time in the food service industry while I earned my Bachelor's in Women and Gender Studies from UW Milwaukee. I also have a political science minor and have always had an emphasis in the legal field. I am in the process of a career change and am enrolled at MATC.I have excellent written and oral communication skills, an ability to collaborate effectively with other people. I am also extremely detail-oriented with an organized eye—all of which are qualities I have acquired from several years working within the restaurant industry.Working directly with customers has placed me in positions where I had to adapt to match a person’s energy level. The ability to gauge what a person is looking for, and what they expect is a skill that is critical in all professions but particularly in the paralegal position. My experience as an administrative assistant required intense multi-tasking of which I always managed to complete all group department projects within a timely, detailed, and well-thought-out schedule.I am currently interning with the Legal Action Clinic of Wisconsin assisting with Pardon applications.
