Raised in a tight knit community of Kivalina, Alaska, located North above the Arctic circle, I graduated from McQueen High school in 2011. While in grade school, I served as the student council president, captain of youth leaders group and engaged in all school activites and sports leading my basketball team to the state finals. I have worked many different jobs in many different fields from kitchen work, resource development, administration, construction, IT, instructional aid and so on. As a youth leader, I was required to attend community meetings (City council, IRA council, relocation) and volunteered a lot my time engaging in community events. In 2015, I earned my Level II Carpentry certificate in Construction Trades Technology at the Alaska Technical Center in Kotzebue, Alaska. i am a former student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a major in Business and Tribal Management. I am currently employed by Teck Alaska Inc. as a laboratory assistant.
