Bluinium was a new concept in business website hosting, incorporating 3D video game technology to provide real-time interaction between visitors and the hosted business. Each business had a custom shop set up to visually mirror their physical location, and be tied to every other hosted business in a virtual city. My team’s primary challenge was to consolidate disparate school and department sites targeted for prospective students, alumni and visitors into a unified Web presence for the University. This involved creating and manually updating thousands of pages of data into a database-driven Content Management System.Once the site was completed, we expanded UMR's Web presence with promotional mini-sites for school events and student organizations. We also developed a new online magazine, VISIONS, which highlighted the University's technological achievements in engineering and science.
