I decided to major in supply chain management because I feel like as consumers, we are so far removed from how our products come to our homes. I am especially interested in the fashion industry so I could gain a better understanding of each step of the process.Although SCM is largely rooted in logistics, I consider myself to be a people-person, creative, and eager to learn. I am open to trying new things and will put my 100% into every project I am a part of.I spent nearly five years at DICE because it was amazing to be working for a great cause. Managing donation shipping has also sparked my interest in SCM. I also took part in editing and managing social media platforms to ensure DICE's success. After winning the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship, I spent a semester studying Mandarin Chinese in Taiwan. I was befriended people from across the globe, immersed myself into Taiwanese culture, and become more open-minded to different opportunities. At Rutgers, I joined the Cantonese Club to become more cultured. I also joined the Wushu Club (a Chinese martial art). What takes most of my time was starting a new chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi at Rutgers. I spent the summer meeting with other executive board members to build the chapter from simply an idea to an established organization at Rutgers. I serve as both the Historian and Service Chair, and I have high hopes for what Alpha Kappa Psi could mean to both our brothers and the RBS student body.In the future, I hope to intern in positions that would further my understanding of finance and SCM. I would love to work for companies that make positive impacts in their communities.
