COUNSELING: MUSIC-GENERATED IMAGERYMy counseling process uses music to help you connect heart and mind. In the music-generated imagery process, you can:• Access inner resources, strengths, and gifts previously unknown to you.• Be nourished and supported in the music’s rich sonic landscape.• Generate images and feelings that may bring new information, understanding, and insight.• Consciously use what you have learned to reduce stress, release blocks, and enrich your life in ways previously unimagined.Sessions are in person and by appointment. The first session is complimentary. There are two forms of music-generated imagery: :FOCUSED MUSIC IMAGERY (FMI) – a 60-75 minute session beginning with a single musical selection that facilitates inner focus and awareness on a particular issue or concern. GUIDED IMAGERY AND MUSIC (GIM) – a 2-hour session that uses a series of classical musical selections which support the generation of a series of images, feelings and body sensations in response to a specific question or focus.Each musical experience is followed by quiet time, and discussion, in which you may use art and writing materials to explore and integrate the images and feelings you generated during your musical journey.
