I believe that social media has the power to open doors and create incredible opportunities — and this is why I do what I do. An enthusiastic connector and unabashed extrovert, I’ve been known to strike up a conversation with just about anyone. My gregarious nature combined with my lifelong obsession with technology makes me a natural fit for the social media world, aka the space between marketing and communications. The continually evolving nature of social media means that no two days are ever the same: I frequently oscillate between creating content strategies, location and review management, influencer marketing outreach, writing copy that drives conversions, and learning about the latest changes in social media. I also educate teams on social media best practices and conduct training sessions on how to use various social platforms as a company and as individual employees.I bring a strong sense of discipline to my work: as a full-time social media manager and consultant, I know the importance of balance and solid planning skills to get everything done. In addition to my day-to-day work, I speak at conferences and conduct interactive workshops on social media trends and best practices. I love taking my skills and passion for my work on the road to teach others to embrace social media for creating communities and bridging the gap between people.Social media is a powerful tool, and I am very conscientious of the language I use to represent myself and my clients across all platforms. I always encourage genuine, thoughtful engagement to grow an online presence, and I strongly believe that social media should be social: using the resources at our disposal to foster connections and create community is what social media is all about.Although I truly love my work, I value rest and balance in my life, and you can spot me around Orlando taking photos or out with friends sampling the mac and cheese at the latest restaurant hotspot.
