My path in life has led me to a variety of experiences and passions, allowing me to gain insight on different industries, types of employment, and work side by side with co-workers in all stages of life.For seven years I worked with Insero & Co., CPAs as an intern and auditor. As an Auditor, I led teams through audits of various industries including manufacturing, real estate, construction, and retail. In addition, I gained Internal Audit experience by assisting public companies in the audit of their controls and development of control sets to meet SOX specific requirements.Transitioning out of public accounting, I joined Margaret Woodbury Strong Museum (The Strong) as a Finance Project Manager. Position responsibilities included cross departmental communication to track project budgets, documentation of grant funded procurement, and reporting of construction in process and assets placed in service. The opportunity to assist The Strong in the expansion of its footprint allowed me to gain experience in the Not-for-profit sector and increased my knowledge relating to the requirements for federal, state, and private grant spending. Now living in Raleigh, North Carolina, I have accepted a position with Vaco as a Professional Consultant. I am very excited to use my previous experience to assist clients as needed and continue to push myself to build expertise in the Accounting industry.My passion for community and entrepreneurship led to one of my most proud achievements of co-running a successful small business in Rochester, NY, The Local Current. My partner and I recently closed our business, but this three year endeavor taught me how to manage a small business and meet state and federal deadlines. My other passions include yoga and spending time outdoors with my family.
