As a Medical Assistant in dermatology, I assist in procedures under the direction of a Physician, room patients, prep for exams, work with insurance companies, and coordinate with pharmacies daily. Working as a receptionist, I coordinated the schedules of four Physicians and over 300 patients/week while working with insurance providers to validate coverage and forward any necessary documents. At Oregon State, I have taken many healthcare-specialized courses that have extended my knowledge of medical terminology and fundamental biology. I am in the process of completing my Bachelor's degree, which will aide me in attending a PA school in the near future!Outside of work, I enjoy paddleboarding and playing with my new puppy! I live in Goodyear, AZ and getting familiar with the community.
