I provide one-on-one private bass lessons to bass students who attend the Hyperium Conservatory in Rolling Hills, CA.

I gig around the Greater Southern California area as a classical double bassist for the following music ensembles: symphonies, chamber music, new music, and solo.

I instructed TK-2 vocal music, 3-6 instrumental music, and 6-8 Special Education Music in the Santa Ana Unified School District at Heninger Elementary School, Santiago K-8, and Esqueda K-8 School.

Trained in string pedagogy, the Co-Music Teacher with direction from the Lead Music Teacher, implements high quality music instruction for the Saturday and/or weekday classes in alignment with the LBUSD Harmony Project program.Responsibilities and Duties:● With direction and leadership from the Lead Teacher, delivers lesson plans to a group of string students (violin, viola, cello and string bass).● Manages student behaviors for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment● Learns about and aligns with the Harmony Project model for creating community through music.● Rehearses small and large group lessons aligned with the site curriculum, and assists in orchestra rehearsals as needed.● Collaborates with site Music Director and other team members to develop and implement weekly lessons.● Sets up and breaks down the rehearsal space, with team member assistance.● Works with Harmony Project staff in keeping track of student attendance.● Aids in assessing student music learning outcomes through regular evaluations.● Communicates information to students and families regarding scheduling, schedule changes, performances, appropriate student conduct and any behavioral issues.● Personally and musically acts as a mentor and positive adult role model.● Attends staff meetings and professional development workshops throughout the year.

Trained in string pedagogy, the Teaching Assistant supports instruction during the LBUSD Harmony Project weekday program. This position is designed as a hands-on training opportunity for music education experience.Responsibilities and Duties:● Personally and musically acts as a mentor and role model to younger Harmony Project students.● Responsible for setting up and tearing down the rehearsal space.● Assists and supports Music Teacher and Music Director in large group and sectional rehearsals.● Teach individual and small group lessons as directed.● Provides support for additional activities as needed.Requirements: The Teaching Assistant must be proficient in violin, viola cello, and/or stringbass.

I ran live sound for church services, musicians, and recorded weekly sermons (link below). My work is in the time frame of my employment.

I worked as an emergency hire in the Music Resource Center of the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music. My responsibilities in this position included maintaining an extensive library of ensemble music and texts while allowing a space for students to utilize the computer laboratory.

Worked as an audio visual recital hall technician performing tasks of running live sound, recording, stage lighting, stage setup, and collaborating with various performers.

Assisted Antoine Arvizu in the Compound Recording Studio while learning studio recording techniques.
