About Alexis Prunczik, Esp, Qp, Cmhc-I

Current Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) graduate student and intern. I have a goal of contributing to further research within the mental health communities as well as abnormal psychology.I am an individual who is fascinated and continuously interested in the world around us. Particularly, the sciences, biology, and health sciences have garnered my attention since I was a child, and personal experiences throughout my lifetime have led me to learn more about the field of human psychology. I embrace the diversity of humankind and kindness through my art, music, the field of psychology, and in the classroom. It is an interest of mine to become more educated within the psychology field to study the topics we do not yet have the understanding or answers to. I particularly have an interest for abnormal psychology and continue to study mental illnesses and disorders.Life experiences and value systems are vastly different throughout the world. It is important for me to acknowledge that individuals will have life stories, values, developmental differences, or beliefs that may shape them into the person they are. Throughout my time completing ethics and philosophy coursework, I learned about new ideas and perspectives of the universe. With this knowledge, I am accepting and mindful of unique journeys and pathways in life as worldviews are each individual’s own conceptualization and understanding of the world.I am open to different learning styles, life experiences, and value systems that may be different from my own while respecting and valuing my own perspectives. As a student in the classroom, I am appreciative of being able to learn more about topics with different perspectives. Acknowledging and appreciating the diversity that the world has to offer contributes towards positive change. This outlook helps me provide an open mind within the classroom as well as in the world when encountering others. With this foundation, it is with gratitude that I may implement my education and experience to provide a safe space with kindness to a multitude of diverse lives I may touch throughout my journey in the mental health field. I am passionate about putting the clients I work with first. Providing a genuine listening ear and offering the best care to provide healthy, loving, and fulfilling lives is a standard in addition to embracing diverse nature.Over the years, I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to help hundreds of families and their loved ones. Being able to witness the growth of every wonderful individual is forever uplifting.
