Hello everyone! My name is Alexis and I have completed a double major in Criminal Justice and Public Policy and Sociology through the University of Guelph. Currently, I am attending the University of Birmingham to complete my LLB.I am very passionate about law and have been working to learn about multiple types of law since high school. This has included working at the Provincial Offences Office in Owen Sound every summer in different roles as a Finance Officer Student as well as a Court Student. I have also spent time working for a small Criminal Law firm in Owen Sound where the lawyers work as Defence and Prosecution for Grey County. These roles have taught me about the separation and collaboration between administration, police and legal actors. I am fortunate to have gained both important administrative skills and experience in both the Criminal and Provincial legal fields throughout these positions.I am looking forward to continuing my legal education in the future and cannot wait to be a part of the legal profession.
