Dr. Jadad is a physician, innovator, entrepreneur, and philosopher. His mission is to enhance our ability to make desirable futures happen through creative human-machine collaboration, across traditional boundaries. He leads initiatives with heads of state, multinational companies, entrepreneurs and scientists worldwide, while accompanying them in periods of transition and high uncertainty. For over 30 years he has been building insights, methodologies, expertise and actionable case studies on “high-tech and high-touch” approaches that could improve human health, longevity and prosperity. The focus of this work has been evidence-based networks of trust within which emerging artificial intelligences and humans could work together, in order to combine their respective strengths and achieve better outcomes than either alone.He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Balliol College, at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, and has received honorary doctorates in Arts and in Laws.He is the founder of the Centre for Digital Therapeutics in Toronto (formerly, the Centre for Global eHealth Innovation). This is a simulator to design and develop prototypes of the future. He is also the creator of the Jadad Scale, the most widely used tool in the world to assess the quality of controlled clinical trials, and the author of 12 books and hundreds of scientific publications. In 2019, he was a member of the Council of the Wise of Colombia, which generated recommendations for the future of the country in the next 25 years. Since 2021, he has been one of the members of the global Public Health Leadership Coalition.
