I have previously worked at Allied Global for a public relations internship in promoting new and upcoming movies. I was able to get my feet wet and dive into the PR industry by analyzing excel documents, planning events, working movie screenings, and making several cold calls. Working movie screenings was an incredible experience. After reaching out to several businesses who shared common themes with the film, I would send them tickets and sign them into the screening. After the film I would interview some of the audience to get feedback on their thoughts on the film.In summer of 2021, I had the opportunity to run the social media accounts for a nonprofit called Purple Pansies. I learned about Google Analytics, what made posts more or less popular, the importance of interacting with followers, and created and designed unique graphics to engage viewers on the several different accounts we used. I gained a significant amount of experience with Purple Pansies and social media and was even able to attend a workshop where the social media team and I were able to learn more about how to grow our accounts. This March of 2022, I have the opportunity to attend a bootcamp Digital Marketing course based out of University of Miami. After taking an introduction to graphic design class, and learning more about social media marketing, I have decided to take it to the next step and study with experienced professionals in this month long course. I am looking forward to what Miami and Digital Marketing bring me.
