I am currently a research physical scientist at NASA Langley Research Center, where I am on the science team within the instrument working group (IWG) for the CERES suite of climate remote sensing satellite instruments. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship through the University of Central Florida as part of the Preeminent Postdoctoral Program (P3), and was working full-time at Kennedy Space Center on the Mass Spectrometer observing lunar operations (MSolo) team during my postdoc. As a member of the science team, my role was to develop exploration ground systems for studying volatiles on the lunar surface. This instrument will be deployed on four lunar missions to quantify volatiles present in the lunar regolith, including water. I received my PhD from the University of California, Irvine in the Rowland-Blake Lab, which specializes in whole air sampling and high-precision, multi-column gas chromatography. My thesis work was in the gas-phase atmospheric chemistry of wildfire smoke, and its impacts on urban air quality.
