Currently I am completing my graduate studies in a joint biomedical program between the university of Ottawa and Carleton. My research consists of lineage mapping of the hematopoietic domain. The tools I use in my research are freely available c++ python extensions written by myself, which are freely available at my git-hub page. My design cycle for data analysis implementation begins with a source problem outlined by my PI or her associated fellows. I give immediate feedback on their ideas in the form of time lines and whether or not their ideas will be possible to implement or not. My goal is to return information as soon as possible through the use of libraries written to run in R (a stats language) or Python. Once the problem is solved time is taken to extract the meaningful code from the programs and create a hierarchical library of available tools and methods for rapid data analysis.
