Yes, another graduate in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences... or not?Every year, more than 100 students on average graduate from each university that offers Physical Activity and Sports Sciences studies. This implies that if there are 49 universities offering these studies in Spain, there are 4,900 people annually graduating with the same education as me, or at least, the same degree. This adds up to those who have already graduated and those who will come in the coming years. This means that either I differentiate myself, or they will overtake me on the right, and here we are Ferraris, not Twingos (with all due respect to Twingos). That's why I pursued the Master's in Sports Entities and Sports Facilities Management at the University of Alcalá, which has a very specific focus, and the business world has always been one of my passions. But this would be typical of someone finishing a degree and doing a master's because in this world, if you don't have almost a doctorate, it seems like you're nobody. So, I decided to do another master's at the same time, the Personal Training Master from Trainologym, one of the best decisions of my life, honestly. On the other hand, since gasoline doesn't pay for itself, and I was driving almost 24/7, I decided to look for a job with a monthly salary, contributions, and all that, and it was a perfect match.I applied to work at Nike, the sports textile company I've always worn, and it must have been love at first sight because they hired me to work in one of their new stores in Madrid (yes, it's nothing spectacular, but Rome wasn't built in a day, you know).Back to studies, as I had to do an internship for the Master's, I had to find a place to do it, and a light bulb went off in my head. I had been following Alvaro Guzmán, Trainologym's CEO, for many years on social media, and I was also taking his Master's. So, I went to see him directly and asked him about doing the internship in his company, and again, a perfect match, he said yes.And that brings us to today. I finished both master's degrees, and now I find myself juggling two and a half jobs, as I like to say, at Trainologym (they hired me after the internship), at Nike, and as an online personal trainer.Alright, but do you have social life left? you might ask. Well, yes, my schedules are tight, but honestly, I prefer working rather to watch the series everyone is talking about on Twitter. I'll have time for that in a few years; for now, I need to sow to reap the rewards later on.
