Head Of Systems & Automation
As the amount of information we deal with increases exponentially, this role (which I helped to create in 2015) is focussed on creating and deploying innovative technology solutions to our clients and to our customer-facing teams across ANZ. Our motto is “how we work is as important as the work we do” - to deliver on that, I and my team have:- Designed a new system of digital platforms to transform the organisation's operating model, rolled out across our full network and to our clients. Delivered >80% head-hour efficiency on previously manual tasks- Sold, designed, deployed and maintained complex online reporting systems for major customers including P&G, News Corp, Sunsuper, Fonterra, and two Australian state governments- Created demo technology platforms that have contributed to over $300m+ of new business wins to date, taking those demos from concept to reality- Worked with external technology partners to deploy new internal workflow tools that increase business efficiency and improve operational effectiveness- Led the commercial partnerships and contracts with platform vendors and strategic partners- I'm also active and visible within the industry, having been an Effies and an MFA judge, a LinkedIn Power Profile for Advertising in Australia 2017, and I contribute to the trade press.
Group Director, The Entertainment Division (Ted)
As a leader of 'The Entertainment Division', MediaCom's specialist entertainment unit, I was responsible for strategic planning, group P&L control, and all our work on a wide range of clients, including Universal Pictures, Universal Music, Bose, Canon, ARN, Football Federation Of Australia, Carnival, Merlin, Carsguide, ebay, and Sony Mobile. I led the Australian element of the full Sony pitch, which ended up with us welcoming Sony Playstation and Sony Electronics to the group. During this time, I was also asked to step in to temporarily lead the P&G Australia account for six months, leading the full team of 25 through that year's annual strategic planning process across 20+ brands & products.- reporting into the Managing Director, led a large team across a complex portfolio of clients (20+ clients, team of 30+ people)- responsible for selling in strategy and planning for the team's client portfolio, (won multiple awards for our work)- accountable for P&L, and successful delivery of key business metrics (at the time, the agency's highest-earning team in revenue and profit)- designed and introduced multiple new systems and processes to reduce inefficient ways of working and increase client and team satisfaction (improved productivity on key tasks by 30%+)
Director, Client Communications Planning
I moved to Australia to become part of the leadership team on the Procter & Gamble business, where we acted as lead agency partner responsible for strategy, planning, implementation, and measurement. Within the wider 25-strong team - and working closely with both our client and agency hubs across APAC - I specifically led the Haircare and Oral Care brands, including their billion-dollar brands like Pantene and Head & Shoulders, and successfully launching a new Oral-B product into market.
Group Account Director
Our award-winning work with Subway included strategic media planning, econometrics, analytics as well as strategic planning and data analysis for their loyalty scheme, the first fully mobile-enabled programme of its kind in Europe. All this plus market-beating audited buying results won us their own Agency Of The Year awards both locally and globally in 2010, in addition to a handful of industry gongs since 2008.
Account Manager
I primarily managed a £10m+ TV-focused account for this compact agency, dealing directly with the client’s CEO, in a fast-paced and challenging sector. The main business objectives revolved around integrating TV and search, continual optimisation of direct response, and implementing a then-unique £30m+, three-year TV deal delivering unprecedented terms to the client.
Broadcast Account Manager
Working as part of a team of four for the (then) largest agency in Scotland, I was responsible for delivering top-tier broadcast pricing and quality on both national and Scottish-only clients, as well as implementing new planning, reporting and buying processes.
Tv Account Manager
Starting as a TV Graduate, leaving as an Account Manager, trained in all aspects of UK TV buying to a high standard, responsible for delivering sector-beating results for a range of blue chip clients. Participated in the extensive internal training programme and ultimately trained and managed new graduate entrants.
