I was inspired to create Summon AI and my flagship product Badger: Operation Gamify, a social gamification platform and universal rewards system, by a series of experiences that culminated in a realization of the Game-Oriented Mindset. I created Badger as a way to automate and scale a method that I used to help with my own transition from military to civilian life. This mindset, focusing on joy, social connection, and purpose, became the cornerstone of my entrepreneurial venture.The first aspect of this mindset is about finding joy in the present moment by engaging in activities we love. I observed that high-performing individuals often approach their objectives as challenges or games, whether they're top students, athletes, or Marines like my friend Dalton Milnes. Dalton, a dedicated gamer and exceptional Marine, treated every task as a game to conquer, consistently pushing his limits and gaining respect for his dedication. Just like gamers persistently tackle tough bosses until they succeed, finding joy in the process drives continuous improvement.The second pillar, social connection, is crucial for our well-being. In the military, units form strong bonds as they train and complete missions together, creating a sense of family. Transitioning to civilian life often means losing that close-knit social network. I rediscovered this sense of connection through Jiu-Jitsu, where shared passions led to deep friendships akin to military units.The third element, purpose, is intrinsic to military life but can be elusive post-service. Without clear directives, finding purpose becomes a personal journey. Integrating joy and social connections can guide us towards discovering our purpose. For me, competing in Jiu-Jitsu became not just a passion but a purpose-driven pursuit, motivating me to lead a healthy life to support my progress.My startup bridges these concepts by digitizing the military tradition of Challenge Coins, creating a platform where users can challenge each other in various activities. This not only fosters social connections but also adds purpose to everyday endeavors. Additionally, our mission map encourages users to engage in localized tasks, further promoting the Game-Oriented Mindset of presence, connection, and progression.Through Pay-Per-View livestreams, Badger empowers users to monetize their passions, aligning with the idea that pursuing what we love can also be financially rewarding.
