As Director and Tech Lead I hired a team of eight full-time and 13 contract software and QA engineers to re-platform and re-invent the digital strategy of Cover-More. Over 18 months I was responsible for the successful creation of a web platform which allows the business to rapidly roll out new semi-custom white label travel insurance sales websites. In addition, we migrated over forty legacy travel insurance websites to the new platform.I transformed how the technology team integrated with the business and our customers by creating a Platform Governance Model and implementing Agile Development and Continuous Improvement methodologies across the teams.My team and I architected a technology and business solution using AWS and cloud services such as AWS EC2, SES, SQS, RDS, lambda, TravisCI, GitHub, Acquia Cloud, and Acquia Cloud Site Factory. The application we created made it possible to drastically scale up the ability to serve customers while decreasing the total cost of ownership of the solution.

As Director and Manager, I was responsible for managing technical initiatives, including:- Defined the business value and implemented new Principal Architect and Technical Program Lead roles in Professional Services.- Technical leader for Acquia Professional Services Agile Delivery Methodology. Acquia’s methodology was rolled out to 30+ internal and external delivery teams.- Led initiative to create an Acquia “canary” platform where all product teams within Acquia could test their products and ensure interoperability bugs were caught before customers were affected.- Professional Services representative on Acquia Product Core Team. I ensured Professional Services was ready to enable and support new products before they were released into the marketplace.- Technical Lead for Acquia BLT Product (https://www.acquia.com/products-services/acquia-blt).- Defined and implemented a process for having systematic cross-functional architecture reviews on all Professional Services projects.- As Lead Technical Architect, I was responsible for architecting and leading some of the biggest web platform solutions, including:- Lead Technical Architect and Team Lead for a 3,000 site Nasdaq Investor Relations re-platforming onto Drupal 8.- Lead Technical Architect and Technical Program Lead for: Staples, Glanbia, Newell, The White House, among other Fortune 100 companies.- Leader in Acquia’s open source initiative to fund the Drupal community to port 60 - 70 Drupal 7 modules to Drupal 8 to increase Drupal adoption.
