Growing up in Hyde County, NC, surrounded by agriculture and the seafood industry, I learned the value of hard work, resilience, and resourcefulness.Now, at 55, I’m ready for a new chapter that blends my experience with the excitement of fresh challenges.In my early years, I observed the dedication of my neighbors and learned to roll up my sleeves to find solutions. This mindset guided me as I ventured into business, founding two companies—a retail operation and a promotional products business—where I wore many hats and learned to juggle diverse responsibilities.I also explored real estate, managing rental properties and tackling renovation projects. The hands-on experience fueled my passion for seeing projects through and honed my problem-solving skills.Community involvement has been a constant. I co-founded the Outer Banks Relief Foundation, organized local events, and served as a Boy Scout Adult Leader, shaping young minds through scouting.Eventually, I closed my businesses and moved to the Raleigh area to seek new opportunities for my family. As we settled in Holly Springs, I started envisioning my next career step.I’m now drawn to a sales role that taps into my 25 years of experience, allowing me to build relationships and deliver results without the constraints of team management.
