Acted as the Data Strategist for the newly set up advisory board for Learning Mate UK. Advised on products, roadmaps and customer offer. Also supported commercial bids for UK HE sector, and authored an essay published by HEPI.

Developing business capability models, organisational designs and gap analysis/activity plans in support of HESA's transformation project. This is a two day a week assignment to support HESA in their goal of creating a new organisational model with the right capabilities, structure and transition plans to meet the needs of their changing role in the sector.

Following on from the successful Data Capability project run under HEDIIP, ran the Data Futures Collection Design project between September 2016 and February 2017. This includes two major sector consultations and a draft set of specifications and schedules to take into detailed design. Between March 2017 and September 2017, I developed a data governance framework for the sector and a HESA instance of best practice including a new way to assess change and measure burden.

Retained to deliver the Data Capability project under the wider HEDIIP programme. The rationale is to provide a self assessment framework for both data collectors and data processors in the Higher Education Sector. From this assessment, we are providing data management toolkits with detailed gap analysis to show how - and more importantly why an organisation can and should move up to a higher the data management maturity level.More information can be found at http://hediip.ac.uk/data-capability/

Initial spin up and ongoing development of the EA function at UCAS in support of major business transformation programme. Ran EA in support of the complex strategic change and immediate tactical initiatives for 18 months. Extended the function to include the Data and Business architecture domains. Member of the Senior Management Group and the Programme Board, also represented UCAS at a number of sector and external programmes/initiatives. Completed my Interim role by handing over the function - now complete with Solution architects from IT - to a new full time Head in Aug 2014

Brought in on a short term interim role to implement the Target Operating Model. This became part of a far wider and longer Interim role where I span up and ran the Enterprise Architecture team.

Responsible for IT architecture, design and management of the build for the move of the client to the Cube in Birmingham. Delivered a hot desking enterprise class solution built on Cisco LAN/WLAN/UC. Working against extremely tight timescales and challenging timescales. Led the technical team from client and multiple technology partners. Represented IT to the project board. Handed over a set of technology platforms that will support The Law Society going forward.

Responsible for architecture, solution design and/or assurance of all major IT systems for Deloitte in the UK.- Design of SAP hosting infrastructure for 60 server+ installation. Leading team of SMEs in Server, Security, Network, SAN technologies both internal and external.- Lead architect for assessing solutions and impact for large customer projects. Includes creating outline budgets, business case, etc.- Design of IP voice estate (currently 8000 seats, riding to 13000) based on Mitel technology. Includes integration with legacy TDM, integration with OCS/Presence engines, Voicemail, Automated speech attendants, device twinning, integration of management products, etc.- Video conferencing (HD and Immersive) design, business case, exec level presentations, etc.- Design of enterprise class redundant datacentres.
