Led design and development of Kubernetes -based platform for mission-critical systems in a variety of environments - cloud and on-premises air-gapped. Providing technical leadership on platform architecture, relevant cloud-native technologies, containerization, hardening, observability, reliability, configuration management, deployment and lifecycle automation. Contributing at all levels: underlying infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters, service mesh, platform services, guidance and adoption support for platform consumers. Developed guidance for engaging with containerization on Windows.At the infrastructure and Kubernetes level - the primary area of focus - facilitated instantiation and management of resilient and secure Kubernetes clusters, both for development and production use. Investigated, selected, and integrated Kubernetes distribution and other technologies. Led selection and integration of cluster networking, container runtime, storage, monitoring, alarming, logging, tracing, and service mesh capabilities. Identified and helped fix issues with upstream components. Developed Kubernetes deployment and lifecycle automation tooling, including end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, support for multiple deployment environments, including AWS and on-prem air-gaped. Contributed to hardening of Kubernetes clusters and underlying infrastructure; security policy development, enforcement, conformance validation, and audit. At the platform services and consumers level, identified and evangelized best practices and tooling for configuration management, image builds, resiliency and health checks; deployment automation and monitoring. Contributed to design, development, testing, deployment and monitoring of foundational platform services. Designed and developed domain specific custom resources and Kubernetes controllers/operators. Facilitated portability across Kubernetes environments, including support for deployment into environments provided by customers.

Investigated, proposed and facilitated adoption of technologies for transition from thick client to browser-based front-end. Covered reusable components (like Web Components) and component libraries, frameworks (React and Angular), languages (TypeScript), state management, databinding, tooling, and more.Contributed to architecture, design and development of a variety of internal products and projects. Examples: Helped architect and implement API gateway mediating access to existing service backend (HTTP API, Java, Thrift). Developed the first thin UI client for the same (React, Web Components). Demonstrated legacy products can be containerized and deployed into Cloud Foundry -based company cloud. Helped re-containerize existing CF services into a cloud edge container appliance prototype (RHEL, Docker). Helped integrate proprietary ARM-based board into Data Distribution Service ecosystem (DDS - pub-sub standard, Yocto Linux).Participated in developing post-acquisition strategy for product-line convergence, platform design, and prototyping activities, as part of the architecture team reporting to CTO. (C++, Java EE, Spring, Kafka, Docker and Cloud Foundry).

Provided technical guidance, design review, technology investigation and prototyping, facilitating shift to service-oriented architecture from Strategic Architecture and Leadership Team. Developed guidance for service and API design and implementation. Participated in design and development of foundational platform services. Designed and developed grid model information and navigation services. (SOAP/WS-*, Java EE, C++, JNI)Introduced and started driving adoption of containerization.
