I view life and education as a journey—much like setting off on a wilderness expedition. It takes preparation, guidance, and resilience to reach your destination. With my background in outdoor education and program coordination, I’ve learned how to lead others through challenges and inspire them to discover their strengths. Now, I’m looking to bring that same spirit to the world of college admissions, where I can guide students through the process of finding their academic path.Just like in camping or canoeing, where you must read the environment and make strategic decisions, the college journey requires similar skills. I may not have worked in a college admissions office yet, but my experience leading diverse groups in outdoor settings has equipped me with the tools to connect with students, help them find their direction, and support them through every step of the process. Here’s what I offer:Eager to Learn & Contribute: While new to admissions, I am passionate about helping students and bring a strong work ethic, adaptability, and enthusiasm for working in higher education.Guiding & Supporting Students: From leading outdoor trips (over 200 of them!) to managing events, I’ve developed strong interpersonal skills that translate into mentoring and supporting students in both structured and informal environments.Organizational & Leadership Skills: With experience coordinating multi-day programs and managing logistics, I’m ready to take on responsibilities in admissions and assist with event planning, communications, and student engagement.Commitment to Inclusivity: I have worked with diverse groups in outdoor education and am dedicated to fostering environments where everyone feels valued, included, and supported.I’m excited to continue my journey, combining my love for the outdoors with a new path in college admissions. If you’re looking for someone with a fresh perspective who is passionate about student success, let’s connect!
