Founder and CEO of ATK Gaming Community, the largest gaming community in the UK. ATK was open to everyone, whatever game they wanted to play - for fun, professionally, or competitively. The community was before its time, helping to facilitate connection between gamers. ATK had sponsors, gaming servers, voice servers, and a vibrant online forum - drawing in new members across the UK. Our members were regulars at the Multiplay iSeries LAN festivals, where we were easily recognizable in our custom swag, hosting interviews and giveaways for attendees.ATK Community is no longer around in the physical sense (active website etc), but the connection and community between members lives on to this day.

Primarily worked across 2 global Bing feature teams; Autosuggest and Related Search. Developed a strong understanding of the Scrum agile software development method and took on the role of Scrum Master to lead the teams through development and eventual shipment of new features. Additionally performed research and developed detailed mock-ups to help inform the direction of the product. This involved liaising with the UX team and running user studies for more detailed feedback. Also led the quality monitoring of Instant Answers for a period of time, being responsible for all markets excluding the United States.Work external of the Bing team included expanding the reach of an internal Consumer Channels Group campaign, being responsible for developing it in the Cardinal Place office. This involved working with all Microsoft business groups. Was also a core member of the Milkround campus team, refining presentation and communication skills. As a result of work done for Microsoft in these areas, was awarded the “One Microsoft Intern of the Year” prize.

Responsible for LSUTV's powerful brand at Loughborough University.

Worked on multiple prototype Jaguar vehicles within product development. This involved building labcars, analysing circuits, and meeting with module owners when necessary. Also conduced health checks, diagnosed issues and re-flashed a number of cars at the plant. Was given the chance to assist a team member with compatibility reviews for a new vehicle.Towards the end of the placement, took on the role of ASL admin, which involved approving software licence requests for suppliers and employees. Additionally, created a new internal website to streamline software documentation and downloads.

Sales and support director of "Connect2 Gaming", a subsidiary of BlackICE Internet Services. Provided high end gaming servers to both individual gamers and professional teams.

Took on the task of managing employees' new computers. Also attended regular team meetings, shadowed multiple-tier support staff and set up new interview rooms.
