I worked directly for a group of brokers that had established business with some of Total Quality Logistics's largest customers. I posted lanes to generate inbound calls and made outbound calls on some of our more difficult loads, built relationships with carriers that I worked with often, and negotiated rates with drivers to keep prices as low as possible.

I built my own book of business by cold-calling prospective customers and completing a needs-assessment to see how I could help them move their freight while working as a single point-of-contact for any and all of my customer's freight needs. I then called the carriers in our system and negotiated rates for them to pick up and deliver my customer's freight.

My responsibilities include assisting customers with finding theaters and obtaining special hearing or viewing devices, cleaning auditoriums and the main lobby, maintaining stock, food preparation, facilitating cash transactions, and helping with closing duties.
