I am determined and motivated entrepreneur and I’ve enjoyed the luxury of being self-employed since leaving university.I’ve worked in different sectors from joint managing director of a national flooring brand to running a camera hire and live event production company.I’ve recently turned my hand to a strong love of mine - food. I’m in the process of building a company manufacturing fresh food-to-go food products, and hope to take this to a national distribution level.The principals of business are the same no matter what the product - produce a product people love to buy, at a price which offers good value for money for the end user, and makes a fair profit for everyone involved in the supply chain.One very important principal is to make sure the staff who add value at any stage in the production are rewarded and valued for their input. I have a very egalitarian approach to staff management. As a company we signed up for the real living wage pledge as I believe a fair day's work deserves a fair day's pay. The mental & physical health of my employees is vitally important too, and we offer private health care & mental health support services to every employee.I have a strong belief in using local producers and suppliers wherever possible. In the current world economy, and with the effects of global warming on the environment, the marketplace is going to start shrinking and relationships with good local suppliers and customers is going to be key to success.Customer satisfaction is vitally important to me. Without customers, I don't have a business. I like to make sure that performance is constantly monitored and any issues are resolved quickly.I’m using LinkedIn as a way of making new connections and hope to enjoy a successful and prosperous relationship with customers all over the country.
