Intensive ongoing project involved material audits and test plan development for tool protection from corrosive wear by means of advanced protective coatings. In addition to design work, the project required frequent correspondence with external vendors and internal technical centers. Design projects supplemented the main project; these included component design, verification, and optimization as well as stress analyses/FEA simulations. Throughout the duration of the internship, I also participated in independently motivated consultations in the areas of materials, corrosion, and mechanical engineering.

My responsibilities centered around root-cause determination and failure analysis, which required proficiency in hardness testing techniques, chemical analysis, metallographic studies, customer support, and plant support. Other actions include deep involvement in Product Engineering studies and projects. The final project analyzed and revamped the Metallurgical and Chemical Laboratories at RMEP.

As a recruitment marketing coordinator I explored innovative and new age recruitment techniques via viral marketing and social networking in order to help clients select the best talent from an ever-growing recruitment pool. Special projects included linking Pinstripe on Facebook and spearheading the presence of companies such as Kodak and Reader’s Digest on Facebook.
