I graduated from Ohio University in 2013 with a B.S.Ed. in Integrated Mathematics and from Miami University in 2022 with a M.A.T. in Mathematics. I have a professional 5-year license certified through the state of Ohio to teach math for grades 7-12. I am in my 11th year of teaching!I work for Dublin City Schools and currently in my 7th year teaching at Jerome High School, but I have also worked in the Columbus area as a full time teacher at Metro and as a long-term substitute in Olentangy Local Schools and Canal Winchester Local Schools. At my previous school (Metro), I served as a coach for a FTC robotics team (Geared Up-10441) and the Cbus Student Hack Club. At Jerome, I have served as the sophomore class advisor and the ski club advisor. From 2016-2019, I served as a facilitator for Code.org's AP Computer Science Principals course (AP CSP) where I helped teachers understand the code.org approach to teaching CS and their philosophy. I lead workshops throughout the summer and school year to give support to new teachers using the AP CSP curriculum. I am very passionate about teaching math and CS to students and I love showing them how amazing it can be!In my spare time, you can find me at local record stores, coffee shops, playing in a pinball tournament, or out on any of the parks and playgrounds with my wife and son. I love reading, playing golf, and I've been known to be a difficult opponent in tabletop games.
