• Optimize utilization across the assigned practitioner population by making staffing decisions in support of the deployment strategy for the business or practice area• Propose assigned practitioners with current or near-term availability to project assignments that align with their skills, professional goals, and/or staffing preferences• Own and manage resource requests for assigned practice area by validating requirements, searching for candidates, and presenting candidates for consideration• Support resource management teammates in filling their open resource requests by proposing candidates and responding to requests for information promptly• Advise projects on how best to navigate and engage in the resource management processes, and make recommendations for improved outcomes• Develop and maintain relationships with key practice and industry leaders, and leverage these relationships to maximize deployment opportunities for assigned population• Resolve staffing conflicts to the satisfaction of all parties, which may include identifying creative staffing alternatives and negotiating with projects and practitioners

Prepare and develop monthly, quarterly and annual budget and forecastsPrepare monthly reporting package of key financial performance metrics for Senior LeadershipCoordinated conversion to new time, expense and billing system, resulting in significant time savings in the preparation of fee applications and invoicingManage contracts, receivables and WIP (work in progress). Prepare detailed fiscal year annual budget/plan by area and nationally for partner in charge. Prepare quarterly forecasts to plan by area and nationally. Work closely with national partner in charge to develop assumptions for annual plan and forecasts. Coordinate resource management nationally. Drive consistency in implementing and executing resource management best practices. Staff practice of over 100 professionals in 13 offices nationally. Manage receivables, cash collections and the profit/loss of every active engagementIdentify solutions and trends to develop action plans to achieve targeted utilization and chargeable hour goals. Review and analyze utilization.Develop network with other resource managers and project leads outside of our practice area to place resources on other firm engagements to compensate for downtime, leverage and maximize chargeabilityDevelop and drive annual review process for all managers and below. Coordinate and lead two-day conference call to assess each individual’s performance, rank against peers and recommend year-end rating. Prepare final report for presentation to leadership.Monitor actual results versus planned results. Maintain financial controls.
