Brought on to bootstrap an internal IT department, after a decision was made to move away from outsourced support, adhering to ITSM practices. Introduction of internal ticketing system, introduced net terms with Apple to shift away from credit card purchasing of end-user computers (EUCs)/Depot Repairs, complete network refresh and expansion to a second floor within the same building, working with vendors and contractors for new office space build-out. Network Design to include Ubiquiti Software Defined Network, door access, and surveillance system integration, contract negotiations for office equipment (KMBS MFP), and working closely with Operations & HR to onboard/off-board employees. Provide support for a 90% macOS user base with the remaining 10% Windows. Google Workspace support, including providing legal discovery deliverables. Created a new naming schema for user accounts. Repatriating JAMF instance from MSP to our own.

Reporting to the COO, Brought on as part of the senior leadership team, to help steer the company from Startup to practices more in line with the parent company post acquisition, bridging the gap yet maintaining to the core of the company culture, that has made it the second largest media publisher catering towards the millennial market. As the IT Operations Manager (NY/LA/Burbank), I was responsible for the planning, budgeting and design of all infrastructure, communication (VoIP/Telepresence) and supporting information systems, management of SaaS, and accounting for BCP. As part of the Editorial Tools and Engineering team, I collaborated with the team supporting Woodwing servers, Adobe InDesign applications, and the creation of an automated Straight From Print (SFP) program to tablet/mobile of our publications, saving time and resources from the process of creating e-reader versions of our magazines and books. Worked with clients such as the PGA to create an iOS version of their championship tour catalogue.

During my time as a technical analyst I drove Active Directory account creation and administration, mobile device management for iOS, and technical analysis for the company’s TIME Magazine video and pre-media departments.
