Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimization of all paint application equipment including but not limited to the Robotics, Spray Applicators, Booths, Rooms, Ovens, Air Handling Units and related paint application devices.• Responsible for application equipment hardware and software upgrades, including the installation of new atomizers and complete spray machines.• Ensure the safe and reliable operation of paint application equipment.• Develop, document, and implement training programs for the safe and efficient use of the application equipment including robots and atomizers.• Develop and maintain inventory system for application equipment, software, and spare parts for the technical organization needs.• Improve and maintain 5S for all spray areas.• Manage an external team of contractors• Align with global application team initiatives.• Stay abreast to application technology related to coatings industry.

- Supported completion of customer-driven and internal projects to support current customers and potentially bring in new business- Performed a large spectrum of tests on new and existing paints, clear coats, primers, and other applied coatings. - Accurately document and decipher data from testing to manage trends and make decisions on direction of experiments to meet customer needs. - Performed/managed preventative maintenance and calibration (PMC) duties on various equipment in assigned labs - Application and development of various solventborne, waterborne, and 2K paints (basecoats, clearcoats, adhesion promotors, primers, and tri-coats) across multiple industries (light vehicle, commerical vehicle, refinish)- Familiar with spraying application processes, as well as different application methods (robotics and hand-spray)- Flexible workload handling, from day-to-day projects (internal support) to high-priority plant support projects (customer-driven).
