Evidence-based healthcare is essentially peer-accepted care that has been demonstrated to be effective in treating a particular clinical condition. With a focus on the right care at the right time in the right setting, we have been able to uphold coaching utilization performance with peers, improve hospital length of stay as well as create an effective Preferred Drug List with clinically effective generic drugs.

I worked on establishing the role of Riboflavin Binding Protein in copper transport and the characterization of the binding site. This work provided the foundation for understanding the binding and transport of metals that could be significant in medical therapy. In addition to my research, I mentored undergraduate biology courses for various professors throughout the year. Having taken the courses previously, I assist those who are struggling to grasp the material of the course as well as being an asset to the students providing insight through my personal experiences.
