• Deliver the following officially accredited AVID training courses to staff and students: Pro Tools 101, 110, 201, 210 (Music), 310 (Music); Sibelius 101, 110. Topics: Digital Audio Theory, System Configurations, Clocking and Synchronization, Recording, Editing, MIDI, Mixing, Arranging and Producing, Automation, Printing Final Deliverables, Scoring.• Schedule and invigilate exams for students, staff and colleagues wishing to attain certification.• Liaise with AVID on behalf of the University in their capacity as an AVID Learning Partner to discuss and develop methods to structure the courses and integrate them into the broader university curriculum.• Attend annual international summits, training seminars and meet-ups.• Plan and deliver bespoke Pro Tools and Sibelius Training as required for studentson the Creative Music Technology, Musical Arts, and Popular Music and Recording undergraduate courses.

• Provide specialist knowledge and support for staff and students on a range of professional studio equipment and software. Primarily with regard to audio production techniques and practice.• Provide appropriate feedback to students on their coursework.• Design, install and purchase equipment and acoustic treatment for the StudioComposition Studio - a recent expansion studio built to focus on creativeengagement with technology.• Design and implement a new studio booking system to facilitate the booking ofpractical spaces for students.

• Taught ‘Live Sound Engineering’; an industry focused diploma course covering the following topics: Microphones and Mic Techniques, Venue Acoustics, PA System Design Prediction Software and Spectrum Analysis, Live Mixing Consoles, Front of House Mixing, Stage Monitoring and Management, SPL Monitoring in Live Environments, Festival Preparation.• Taught select lessons on ‘Studio & Live Music Production’, an undergraduate course accredited by The University of Central Lancashire, covering the following topics: Physics of Sound, Large Format Analogue Workflows, PA System Planning Setup and Test, Digital & Wireless Technologies, Production Riders, Signal Processing, RF Equipment and Management.• Taught select lessons on ‘Music Production & Sound Engineering’, an industry focused diploma course covering the following topics: Acoustics & Psycho Acoustics, Microphone Techniques, Control Surfaces and Automation, Melodyne Beat Detective and Sound Replacer, Signal Flow in Advanced Analogue and Digital Consoles, Analogue Tape Recording, Advanced Signal Processing, Mixing.• Updated and developed new curriculum based on industry developments for diploma courses as well as courses accredited by UCLAN and The University of Bolton.• Coordinated marking and practical assessments working directly with the Head of Audio.
