I have thoroughly enjoyed volunteering and leading a team of four this year. It was an easy decision to apply for Spark as I was naturally interested in the innovation space. When I was working for Spark I would work towards the best interests of the organisation. Outside of Spark I have managed to find time to pursue my interests in innovation, currently focusing on the education sector. I have also learn't, that if possible you must ensure you have the best person for the job. An example of this would be the drafting of sponsorship proposals. Two of the members in the External Relations team had a background in Law> They were more efficiently able to articulate the relevant points in the written form. I could share my institutional knowledge and we did share the proposals equally so the best result was achieved. Show less
