Guatemala

- Co-developed and implemented the social enterprise's three-year strategy with focus on management of existing initiatives and development of new partnerships and business opportunities- Designed and project managed La Choza Chula's community tourism program, facilitating the training of 10 young people to become qualified tour guides and supporting them in the creation of the community's first tour guide association- Contributed to product development, reviewing and improving costing and pricing structures, analysing product viability and implementing sales strategies leading to an increase in sales of products and tours by 45% in one year, converting a £4000 organisational loss into a £6000 net profit- Represented the organisation in English and Spanish at national events and competitions, presenting at the Guatemalan National Tourism Congress and winning first place and £1500 start-up capital at the Guatemalan Sustainable Tourism Awards- Responsible for the recruitment and ongoing management of new staff, interns and volunteers - Created monitoring and evaluation strategy to improve efficiency and accuracy of data collection and impact reporting- Set up locally run board of directors and managed quarterly community consultation meetings

El Paredon, Guatemala

- Project managed construction of a computer laboratory working alongside international partners, volunteers and local contractors, finishing within the set budget and project deadline- Designed and implemented new organisational accounting system to improve efficiency, minimise human error and allow for more effective analysis and financial reporting- Successfully led three crowdfund campaigns raising a total of £10,000 to support education projects in a developing community- Designed and delivered a pilot business skills training program to 10 female entrepreneurs, including six months of practical and theoretical workshops, resulting in the creation of six locally run small enterprises- Managed social media and marketing campaigns to increase supporter base and brand presence in both the national and international markets

Tanzania

- Supported Country Operations Manager in the planning, organisation and delivery of the UK government funded International Citizen Service Entrepreneur (ICSE) pilot programme in Tanzania, working through teams of young volunteers to deliver business training skills, learning support and seed capital to young entrepreneurs in rural communities- Designed business skills training programme and curriculum for team leader and volunteers to implement in communitiesAssisted in the day-to-day running of the training induction for three delivery programmes with over 60 volunteers, including creating and facilitating training sessions and managing budgets - Created monitoring and evaluation tools, effective team planning tools and improved methods of communication with the project partner to ensure project success and sustainability

Nicaragua

- Led two teams of eight volunteers, alongside a Nicaraguan counterpart, on the ICSE pilot programme in Nicaragua working to deliver sustainable development through young volunteers by providing business training to young entrepreneurs in three rural communities- Facilitated group development and resolved group conflict with regard to cross cultural need- Managed projects, led teams of volunteers and facilitated completion of project aims- Undertook project planning visits and production of reports, including: risk assessments; health and safety; cultural awareness- Worked with project partners, sponsors and suppliers as required- Delivered training for volunteers on arrival to Nicaragua and instructed groups in skills necessary to achieve project goals
