As an R&D Chemist at Focus Chemical, I create and optimize new lubricant additives and base packages using organic synthesis and blending techniques. I also use various analytical methods and equipment, to develop products, assist customers, and run statistical data analysis. I have a BS in Biological Science with a minor in Microbiology from Clemson University, where I was part of a chemistry research group working on new antibiotics for antibiotic resistant microbes. I have also obtained multiple certifications in change management from BCG, where I supported senior consultants and their case teams with logistical and operational tasks. Before joining BCG, I worked as an EMT for PRISMA Health, providing emergency medical care during the COVID-19 pandemic. I am passionate about solving problems and creating solutions that improve the quality and performance of lubricants. I enjoy collaborating with customers and colleagues, learning new skills and techniques, and contributing to the innovation and growth of the chemical industry.
