• Collected and organized artifacts submitted by project administrators for firewall port exceptions • Validated compliance of projects and compiled presentations for Network Security technical control change board lead by Network Security branch head for firewall rule implementations • Through remote access validated STIG compliance on Linux hosts, mainly Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 or 7 • Performed weekly network wide quarantine sweep of non-compliant hosts on the enterprise and coordinated this action with out Security Operations Center • Maintained out of compliance hosts within VRAM system by removing hosts, reassigning hosts to correct repositories, and maintaining current IAVA notification through remediation • Collaborated with in house HBSS team for SCAP scans in order to double check project administrators STIG checklists • Utilized Redmine ticketing system to track open requests • All compliance validation completed complies with NIST 800-53
