Alex joined PEP in 2011, is a Managing Director and a member of the Partner & Client Group (PCG), which oversees strategic partnerships, capital formation and client relationships across the firm. Alex is also involved in business development initiatives including PEP Gateway. Previously, Alex spent a decade in the private equity investing team at PEP and worked on deals including Asaleo Care (A$1.1B ASX IPO, AIC 'Deal of the Year' 2014), Xtralis (A$625M sale to Honeywell), ACG and AST. Alex was actively involved in the raising of the Smart Metering Fund for Intellihub ($1.5B, 'Deal of the Year' for both the AVCJ and AIC 2022) and UP Education (A$400M, 2023), and oversaw the exit of PEP's investment in AST (US$630M sale to Siris Capital and subsequent merger with Equiniti), as part of which Alex was based in New York for five years.Prior to joining PEP, Alex was an investment banking associate at Morgan Stanley in London, and a management consultant with The Boston Consulting Group in Sydney.Alex holds at PLD from Harvard Business School and First Class Honours Laws and Commerce Degrees from the University of Adelaide, where he was the Valedictorian. Alex is a Communications VP with the Harvard Club of Australia and is involved with various non-for-profit organisations.
