Thesis title: 'Structural inheritance and magmatism during continental breakup in West Greenland and Eastern Canada'This PhD project primarily focused on the thermal and structural evolution of the West Greenland and Eastern Canadian margins, including the processes which led to continental breakup and subsequent margin formation. Particular areas of interest included; rift-related magmatism, structural inheritance and mantle dynamics.In addition to publishing my PhD work in peer reviewed journals, I presented work at numerous conferences, both domestic and international, winning several awards including:- 1st place in the student poster award at the Conjugate Margins Conference 2014, St.Johns, Newfoundland, Canada, 2014. http://www.conjugatemargins.org/student-awards/ - 2nd place in the oral presentation award at the Petroleum Geoscience Research Collaboration Showcase, PETEX, London, UK. http://www.geolsoc.org.uk/expired/Petroleum-Research-Collaboration-Showcase

This position allowed me to work with a wide age range of children, whilst also providing me with the unique opportunity to reflect upon the knowledge gained during my degree by teaching certain aspects of it in the field.
