OCCUPATION: Alex Perdikis is the CEO and Owner of Koons Motors, a major automotive dealership group in the Washington D.C. suburbs. Alex is also the founder and chairman of inride, an automotive technology company. He has years of experience in one of the United States’ most competitive car markets and has consistently demonstrated an ability to exceed sales goals without compromising the first-rate customer service for which Koons has always been known. Alex’s growing list of franchises includes Ford, Mazda and Lincoln while operating a large pre-owned business. Koons Motors is one of the only privately held automotive groups in the greater Washington DC area.APPROACH: Alex Perdikis believes in leading by example and is often the first to arrive and last to leave. His day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing the dealership’s finance and accounting department, setting sales goals and managing the sales team, handling new and used vehicle orders, managing the parts and service department, and personally attending to customers’ needs. Previously, Perdikis oversaw turnarounds and overhauls at several Washington, D.C.-area automotive dealerships. He also personally oversaw the build-out and opening of Koons of Silver Spring.PERSONAL: Perdikis lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland, with his wife and daughters. When he is not at the dealership, he can be found managing his eldest daughter’s soccer team or volunteering his time with one of several favored local charities, including the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Alex is a graduate of the University of Richmond’s E. Claiborne Robins School of Business, where he also was a Linebacker on the Varsity Football team from 1993 to 1996.
