Red Hat is the world's leading provider of open source solutions, using a community-powered approach to provide reliable and high performing cloud, virtualization, storage, Linux, and middleware technologies.Responsibilities included covering the entire sales, services, and field marketing worldwide; all Regional General Managers (North America, EMEA, APJ, LATAM) as well as US Public Sector, Global Services, Global Field Marketing, Global Channel and Global Business Development reported directly to me:• Acting as a Section 16 officer, reporting directly to the CEO• Holding complete P&L responsibility, for over $1B in revenue• Building a presence in 36 countries in diverse geographies• Generating profitability and free cash flow, in a company with initial losseso Growing the worldwide business over 20 times in 9 yearso Growing international business from 8% to 45 % of total sales within first 5 years• Launching and developing a global partner network (i.e. major OEMs, distributors, VARs, ISVs, SIs), which now comprises60% of business• Creating key industry executive relationships with top hardware and software vendors (i.e. Dell, IBM, Intel, HP, Fujitsu, NEC, Hitachi, SAP, BMC, etc.)• Partaking in all all major acquisitions
