As the Design Manager at Oakwrights my primary focus is to ensure smooth operations and productivity within the design team. I oversee their day-to-day roles and responsibilities, ensuring the team is trained to the highest standards and morale is kept high, allowing us to achieve our goals and targets set by the board. I work closely with project coordinators to allocate and hand over projects to the design team, and report on the team's monthly output/targets.In my role as as Industry Engagement Officer at NMITE, I will leverage 7 years of experience in construction, encompassing both design and management. I am committed to applying this expertise to contribute to NMITE's forward-thinking outreach initiatives for their students embarking on the CATT education journey. In addition to our outreach efforts, I am dedicated to cultivating a deeper relationship with our design software partner, Dietrich's. By leveraging my background in live project experiences, I aim to enhance the teaching methods by integrating modern industry practices. Together, we will bridge the gap between academia and industry, ensuring that NMITE students receive a comprehensive education that prepares them for success in the ever-evolving field of construction.
